We are an American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) Accredited Comprehensive Center with Adolescent Qualifications. This means we can perform bariatric surgery on patients ages 13 and above. We are the only center in Augusta (and the only center within 100 miles of Augusta) with that privilege.

Our Approach
Weight Loss Surgery
Weight loss surgery has come a long way. Today, most surgeries are laparoscopic, also referred to as minimally invasive, performed through small incisions leading to less complications, faster healing and less pain.
Studies have shown weight loss surgery to be a safe and effective way to lose weight, keep it off, improve/reverse weight-related diseases and reap psychological, social and economic benefits.
Dr. Hilton is the State Access to Care Representative for the state of Georgia. This means she and our team are actively involved in advocating for patients, and those interested in bariatric surgery, to have access to appropriate care and treatment.
