The Pediatric Ophthalmology Department is known for using innovative techniques to treat difficult pediatric vision problems
and features the following services:
- Consultations and care by board-certified retinal specialists, board-certified corneal
specialists and board-certified ocular plastic surgeons
- Child Life Specialists, who help children understand and cope with care
Non surgical procedures
- An ophthalmic photographer who helps physicians diagnose pediatric eye disorders and
monitor their progression or healing
- BOTOX injections to treat strabismus, or misaligned eyes
Surgical procedures
- Adjustable sutures in eye muscle surgery to treat strabismus, or misaligned eyes,
so surgeons can readjust the position of the eye after surgery
Specialized surgeries for:
- blocked tear ducts
