What to Expect
We work with you to create an individualized treatment plan, applying the most effective procedures to remove your cancer.
During the procedure, a Mohs surgeon removes the abnormal skin growth layer by layer. Each layer is immediately examined under a microscope. Layers continue to be removed and examined until no abnormal cells are found. This way, only cancerous cells are removed while preserving the healthy tissue that surrounds them.
Mohs surgery is performed on an outpatient basis in our offices using local anesthesia.
