Rebecca Rahn was born in New Haven, CT, but has spent the majority of her life in Georgia. As a Ramsey Scholar, she completed her undergraduate studies through the Honors Program at the University of Georgia. She then returned home to Augusta to obtain a Master of Physician Assistant degree, graduating with honors from the Medical College of Georgia Physician Assistant Program. Passionate about her patients, she has been providing exceptional patient and family-centered care for over 10 years at the Augusta MS Center at Augusta University Medical Center. The National MS Society has certified the Augusta MS Center as a Comprehensive Care Center, committed to providing the highest level of patient care. The Augusta MS Center is also a member of the Consortium of MS Centers. Rebecca is an MS Certified Specialist, a member of the Physician Assistant Special Interest Group, and the International Organization of MS Nurses, through the Consortium of MS Centers. Additionally, she is on the Georgia Board of the National MS Society and serves as a member of the South Eastern Health Care Provider Counsel. She is also a member of the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America's Healthcare Advisory Counsel. She works with Augusta University to train the future generation of health care providers lecturing to student and also teaching on clinical rotations. She has been honored as an Outstanding Alumni from the School of Allied Health Sciences at the Medical College of Georgia, as well as a being honored as a Volunteer of the Year with the National MS Society with recognition for her dedicated service to those living with MS.

Research interests include new pharmaceutical interventions for demyelinating disease with additional interests into socio-economic and psychological implications on patient care
Demyelinating disease affects individuals very differently and requires comprehensive, specialized care through interdisciplinary collaboration. The philosophy of care of all the staff at the Augusta MS Center is to work with patients and their families to create an individualized treatment plan that allows people living with demyelinating disease to achieve their highest quality of life.
