Dr. Harrell earned his medical degree at Ross University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia/Augusta University where he was selected as Chief Medical Resident. He completed his fellowship training in Cardiovascular Disease at the the Medical College of Georgia/Augusta University where he was also selected as Chief Cardiology Fellow. He then completed an advanced fellowship training program in Interventional Cardiology at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, IL. He has participated in clinical research involving myocarditis, Takotsubo cardiomyopathy, pulmonary embolism therapy, and cardiogenic shock. His clinical interests are coronary artery interventions, mechanical circulatory support, pulmonary embolism therapies, and peripheral vascular disease. Dr. Harrell is a native of Augusta, Ga. and is compassionate about providing excellent patient-centered care in the community.
