Dr. Garigan is a Family Physician educator with more than two decades of experience in clinical education. Previously, he served for 24 years in the US Army at a variety of positions, culminating as Acting Chief of Staff for the Southeast Regional Medical Command (SERMC), US Army. His military service included deployments to Iraq and Bosnia. After active duty, Dr. Garigan taught full-service Family Medicine at DD Eisenhower Army Medical Center for 13 years, including inpatient care, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, and procedures. He also served as a certified instructor for ACLS, ATLS, PALS, and ALSO courses. He developed and conducted residency training programs in Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) and Scholarly Activity. Dr. Garigan has made six short-term mission trips to Central America.
