I was born and raised in North Carolina and have always wanted to be a doctor. During my last year of medical school, I was diagnosed with breast cancer - I was only 25 years old and had no family history of breast cancer. After surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy, I eagerly went back to medical school to finally obtain my goal of becoming a surgeon. I decided beyond becoming a general surgeon, I also desired to specialize specifically in breast cancer surgery and help other women like myself. Dr. Arnold is always so attentive and goes the extra mile to answer questions or guide me to where I need to go for a next step. She keeps up with the results of anything she ordered for me or my oncologist, and communicates those results to me as soon as they are available. She is always my greatest cheerleader, even from the day she gave me the news about having cancer. She is just very special with me as her patient.
