I wish he or the NP would have been the one who shared that the next course of my treatment was surgery instead of the surgical resident coming in and telling me first. I had no idea about my treatment plan and it kind of surprised me. I know it's an everyday occurrence for them, but it's a big deal for a patient as myself who has never had a major surgery.
