Dr. Nicholson completed medical school at the Medical College of Georgia and did a combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics in Greenville, SC. He practiced a few years in Greenville, SC before returning to Augusta for his fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism. After fellowship Dr. Nicholson practiced endocrinology in the Augusta community until returning to Augusta University.

Dr. Nicholson is wonderful. He listens and helps me make my own decisions about my care. He is not opposed to giving support with lifestyle changes. Highly recommend.

Dr Nicholson has done a tremendous job of helping me get my diabetes (and my A1C) under control with more appropriate medications for me. I appreciate his attention to my issues with the medication I was on, his recommendations for new meds and his follow-up. He and his staff have been attentative and professional. I appreciate the care I received from both he and Dr xxx (Int Med).
